He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Jones and Lorene Jones (Campbell); his brothers, Robert Jones and Ralph Jones; and his daughter Patricia Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Glenna Huffman Jones; his daughters, Suzanne Luther of Jefferson City and Ladonna Jones of Jefferson City; his sister Thelma Werner (Ken) of Jefferson City; his sisters-in-law, Anna Mae Jones of Milan and Kay Jones of Jefferson City; his grandchildren, Emma Hintch (Chris) of Liberty, Graham Deutsch of Columbia, Adrienne Luther (Sam Johnson) of Columbia and James Luther of Jefferson City; and his pet Joe.
Memorials are suggested to the Special Olympics Missouri.
