It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Grothoff of Jefferson City, Missouri, who passed away on October 19, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Grothoff and Johanna Grothoff (Forck); and his son Kenneth "Kenny" Grothoff. He is survived by: his wife Irene; his children, William "Bill" Grothoff (Joan) of Eldora, Shelley Althoff (Roger) of Jefferson City and Kimberly Bates (Lloyde) of Brazito; and his sister Clara Eiken of Taos. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The general public is welcome to attend the visitation while following social distancing guidelines.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Samaritan Center.
