He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Prenger and Helen Prenger (Bernskoetter); his wife MaryAnn Derkum; his granddaughter Tiffany Buechter; his brothers, Harold and Fred Prenger; and his daughter-in-law Rosemary Prenger.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Prenger, Jr. (Staci) of Wardsville, Dennis Prenger (Glenda) of Taos, JoAnn Essary (Bobby) of Jefferson City, James Prenger (Shannon) of Taos, Christy Feltrop (Darren) of Taos, Mark Prenger of Taos and Jason Prenger (Theresa) of Taos; his sisters, Clara Werdenhausen and Patsy Luebbering; and his sister-in-law Bernice Benton. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous family and friends.
