He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Herzing and Cunie Herzing (Hoffman); and his siblings, Lorraine Herzing and Leroy Herzing. He is survived by: his wife Betty; his daughters, Sheryl Miller (Steven) of Jefferson City, Kim Volmert (Jeff) of Wardsville and Stacy Chiles (Bill) of Fulton; his siblings, Daniel Herzing of Vienna, LaVerne Russell (Donnie) of Argyle and Delores Martin (Dave) of Jefferson City; his grandchildren, Jerad Miller, Justin Miller, Lindsey Duncan, Brendan Chiles and Logan Chiles; his great grandchildren, Trent Miller, Devin Miller, Seth Miller, Pierce Miller, Brayleigh Miller, Koen Koch and Kyler Duncan; and his pet Daisy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Missouri Humane Society or the American Heart Association.
