He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Klapmeyer and Fern Klapmeyer (Jones); and his uncle William "Kenny" Klapmeyer. He is survived by: his wife Debra Klapmeyer (Sigler) of Jefferson City; his sons, Christopher Klapmeyer of Ashland and Cory Klapmeyer (Nicole) of Beatrice, Nebraska; the mother of his children Terry Klapmeyer of Hiawatha, Kansas; his stepdaughter Dawn Scott of Jefferson City; his grandsons, Jacob and Chase Klapmeyer of Beatrice, Nebraska; and his stepgrandson Seth Fredrickson (Holly) of Columbia, Missouri..
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Houser-Millard Funeral Directors (2613 W Main St, Jefferson City, MO 65109). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery (1479 County Rd 1675, Jacksonville, MO 65260).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to People Helping Paws in Jefferson City, Missouri, the Wounded Warrior Project, or Shriner's Hospital.
