With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peter Vander Veen of Jefferson City, Missouri, who passed away on July 29, 2021 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his siblings, Harvey and Virginia. He is survived by: his sons, Steven Vander Veen (Mary) of Jefferson City, MO., Mark Vander Veen (Annette) of Lowell, IN., Peter Vander Veen and Port St. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dwelling Place of Grand Rapids.

“I have so many memories of my contact with Pete, that I can’t begin to tell you. Pete was a big influence on my life while I was growing up and through college. The most time I spent with him was while I was working for him at his Father’s construction company. Then Pete took over as his own company and I was able to use my experience to help Pete’s company. It was hard work, but I l armed a lot. I have always appreciated that he was willing to help me learn. RIP.”
