He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Henry Hofius and Rose Eleanor Hofius (Vaughan); his son Mark Gilbert Hofius; and his siblings, Pauline Miller (Frosty), Florence Sutton (Tom), Margaret Johnson (Richard), Lawrence (Pauline), Mark (Norma) and David Hofius.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Noreen Mary Snyderwine; his wife Noreen; his daughters, Paula Lee Volk (Lewis) of Overland Park, KS, Kathleen Ann Clark (Eddie) of Jefferson City, Lori Ann Raithel (Daryl) of St. Martins and Lee Ann Knernschield of Jefferson City; his daughter-in-law Kathy Hofius (Staley) of Washington, MI; his sister-in-law Shirley Hofius; his grandchildren, Kylie Kell (Raithel), Seth Raithel, Austin Raithel, Sasha Hofius, Andrey Hofius, Elliot Knernschield, Grayson Knernschield and Harrison Knernschield; and his great grandchildren, Daniel Kell, Noreen Kell, Patrick Kell, Eleanor Raithel and Vincent Raithel. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Jefferson City or a charity of the donor's choice.
