He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Champlain and Elizabeth Champlain (Hoffman); his siblings, Donnie, Joe Dean, Sharon and Mary Sue; his brothers-in-law, Larry Nobbman and Marvin Wekamp; and his parents-in-law, John and Dorothy Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Lana; his daughter Ashley Blackmon (Romelle); his sisters, Marilyn Nobbman, Margaret Wekamp and Linda Oliver (Keith); and his siblings-in-law, Patty Champlain and Hossein Dashtaki. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the Jefferson City Animal Shelter.
