He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan Hubert and Mildred Maxine Papen (Hodges); his wife Carmen Papen; his daughter-in-law Lois Papen; and his brother-in-law Jim McDonald.
He is survived by: his son Andy Papen; his sister Judy McDonald of Sullivan, MO; his niece Jennifer Schmidt (Dave); and his nephews, John McDonald (April) and Craig Granger (Jess Cockrum).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Samaritan Center or to a charity of the donor's choice.
