She is survived by: her children, Mario Mejia of Jefferson City, Corinna Mejia-Ridenhour (Shane) of Jefferson City, Elaina Mejia-McKee (Ryan) of Jefferson City and Jessica Mejia-Fahnestock (Brandon) of Jefferson City; her mother Nancy Nevins of Kansas City; and her friend Becky Newcomb. She is also survived by four siblings, twenty-four grandchildren.
