He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Joseph and Stella Marie Barrett (Herbrandt); his siblings, Helen Mary Barrett, Allen Joseph Barrett and Caroline Cliburn; his brother-in-law Larry Snellen; his aunt Doris Jean Thompson; and also Hunter Chandler.

He is survived by: his son Marvin White (Kristen); his grandchildren, Christfur (Lexi) and Leah (Carter); his siblings, Charles "Woody" Barrett, Patricia Snellen and Deborah Barrett; his niece Diana Cooper; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Rose Cooper, Samuel Cooper, Timothy Chandler (Amanda), Christine Sublette (Dave), Troy Snellen (Greg Nelson), Laura Crocker (David), Jason Snellen (Tara) and Charles Austin Barrett (Yoshelin Medina); and also, Logan, Shayna Sinor (Stacy), Autumn Sublette (Jordan Rust), Alayna Sublette, Blake Snellen, Jake Snellen and Brock Snellen.
