Charles Holt wrote a sympathy message

“Wow, she was such a strong lady. I grew up down the street and spent innumerable days with Donald and his family. My grandmother stayed with Marian's parents during a MO River flood in the early 1900s, because she couldn't get home to Holts Summit/New Bloomfield, due to the high waters. I remember visiting the old farmhouse there, as well. Marian always made visitors feel like family and she was meticulous about the cleanliness of her home!”
