Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Lester George Bushmann Jr. (Jefferson City, Missouri), born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away at the age of 83, on February 12, 2020. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester George and Alice Ward Bushmann; and his brother Kenneth J. Bushmann of St. Louis. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Bushmann; his daughters, Kate Bushmann (Tim O'Mara) of New York City and Maggie Williams (Allen Retsema) of Jefferson City; his granddaughters, Eloise O'Mara of New York City and Elise Williams of Jefferson City; and his siblings, Shirley Henslee of St. Louis, Judy Heilig of Houston, Patricia Mosby of Malvern, Ark. and Gene Bushmann of Jefferson City. He is also survived by many in-laws, nieces and nephews.

“Les was a great director for the Missouri Insurance Agents. I was working as a lobbyist associated with Richard Southern. Les & I met at a Missouri State Association of Executives (MSAE) luncheon. We talked of upcoming elections & found that our associations shared similar views on candidates. After 11 years as a lobbyist, I was hired by the Senior Senator of the State of Missouri & found myself on the other side of the lobbyists' desk. Les, Cynthia and I have been friends for many years.”
