He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Sommerer and Francis Elizabeth Sommerer (Schubert); and his siblings, Donald Wayne Sommerer, Wilma Jean Strobel, Pauline Sommerer and Paul Sommerer.
He is survived by: his sister Verna Menteer (Norman) of Jefferson City; and his nieces and nephews, Jeff Sommerer of Osage Beach, Russell Menteer of Jefferson City, Carissa Mariott of Columbia, Sheri Menteer of Jefferson City, Aaron Strobel of Virginia and John Strobel of Alabama.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to Immanuel Lutheran School or to a charity of the donor's choice.
