We are sad to announce that on May 7, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Leona M. Buersmeyer (Jefferson City, Missouri), born in Koeltztown, Missouri. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Reinsch and Elizabeth Reinsch (Boeckman); her husband Clarence Buersmeyer; her siblings, John Reinsch (Agnes), Clarence Reinsch (Helen) and Agatha Bisges (Clarence); and her sisters-in-law, Matilda Crader (Charles), Regina Schmidt (Alfred) and Albina Schaefer (Wilbert).

She is survived by: her children, Linda Fischer (Stephen) of Jefferson City, Duane Buersmeyer (Deborah) of Jefferson City and Rodney Buersmeyer (Pamela) of Jefferson City; her grandchildren, Brian Fischer, Craig Fischer (Shonda), Renae Hilke Leah Hynes (Steven), Erin King (Jon), Cory Buersmeyer (Mimi Johnson) and Jason Fischer (Karen); her sister Cency Luetkemyer (Alfred); and her brother-in-law Harry Buersmeyer (Rita). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, it is requested that expressions of sympathy be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Endowment Fund.

“In loving memory of Leona M. Buersmeyer, Sharing in your sorrow. With love and friendship. My mom, Eva Thompson, is a resident at Oak Tree and sat with Leona for meals. They became good friends there and enjoyed each other’s company. I also was able to meet Leona and got to know her while visiting my mother. I really just loved her too! My mom has missed her so much and has been so sad with her passing. She became her best friend at Oak Tree. Sincere condolences and prayers for her family💗”
