He was predeceased by: his parents, John F. Pletz and Helen L. Pletz (Fouts); his wife Karen L. Owens; and his brother-in-law Chuck Hill. He is survived by: his daughters, Brittany E. Marten (Anthony) of Chicago and Casey L. Pletz of Overland Park; his granddaughter Alexandra Elizabeth Marten; his sister Barbara A. Hill of Kalona; and his sisters-in-law, Susan L. Dasta of Los Angeles, Calif and Leslie A. Owens of St. Louis.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (324 Madison St, Jefferson City, MO 65101). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Freeman Mortuary (915 Madison St, Jefferson City, MO 65101).
