It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Ray Thompson of Jefferson City, Missouri, who passed away on January 9, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Thompson and Imogene "Jean" Thompson (Huot); his in-laws, Alphonse and Clara Boeckmann; and his cousin James Matthews.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Boeckmann; his children, Josh Thompson (Sara) and Jennifer Mehmert (Adam); his brother Tom Thompson (Becky); his grandchildren, Nicholas and Abigail Mehmert; his nephew Shane Thompson (Gina); and his niece Kris Koch (Aaron). He is also survived by four great-nieces.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Houser-Millard Funeral Directors (2613 W Main St, Jefferson City, MO 65109). A prayer was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to the Missouri River Valley Steam Engine Association, Wounded Warriors, or Shriners Children's Hospital.
