He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Bax and Rita Bax (Gerling); his siblings, Kerry Booth and Joe Bax; and his pets, King, Rex, Lady and Ringo.

He is survived by: his wife Marlene Bax; his sons, Brian Bax (Jessica) of Linn, Tony Bax of Jefferson City and Bruce Bax (Brandi) of Jefferson City; his brothers, Gene Bax (Cindy) of Ulman, Jim Bax (Brenda) of University City and Tom Bax of Ulman; and his grandchildren, Abigail Bax, Claire Bax, Macy Bax, Hannah Bax, Ryan Bax, Gabrielle Bax and Porter Bax. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
