She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Joseph and Rose Hubertina Struemph (Otto); her husband Thomas Schnieders; her children, John Paul Schnieders and Cathy Schnieders-Grawe; her siblings, Alphonse Struemph, Martin Struemph, David Struemph and Marcella Utterback (Thomas); and her brother-in-law Edmund Lueckenotto.
She is survived by: her children, Rhonda Haes (Michael), Clark, Michael Schnieders (Meta), Bonnie Schnieders (Wardsville), Michelle Kelly (Wardsville) and Roxanne Braun (Samuel); her son-in-law Kevin Grawe; her grandchildren, Jonathon Haes (Amanda), Leah Haes, Ryan Haes (Alyssa), Ashley Hughes, Elizabeth Hughes, Lauren Schnieders, Madison Moore, Quinn Kelly, Dylan Grawe, Tristan Grawe, Isabel Grawe and Bailey Braun; her great grandchildren, Kenneth, Gabriel, Mary, Michael and Brian; her sisters, Arline Lueckenotto, Judy Heckman (William), Sylvia Frank (Forrest) and Donna Schellman (Robert); and her sister-in-law Clara Struemph.
Joan requested memorials in her memory be made to the Celiac Disease Foundation; Crohn's & Colitis Foundation; Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation; or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
