He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Choate and Bonnie Mae Choate (Cope); and his brother Tommy Choate. He is survived by: his wife Kathren Choate; his children, Brian Choate (Gayla) of Coppell, Gregory Choate (Becky) of Smithfield and Lauri Choate of St. Louis; his brother Jerry Choate (Carol) of Tahlequah; and his grandchildren, Caleb Choate (Audrey), Sara Crump (Kenneth), Garrett Choate, Matthew Choate (Tiffany) and Connor Choate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association and the Parkinson's Foundation.
