It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jay Thompson of Jefferson City, Missouri, born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, who passed away on January 20, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Lyle and Ruth Aida Thompson (Bottke); his sister Joyce Trumbo; and his siblings-in-law, Dwain, Lorraine Otte and Pat Otte.
He is survived by: his wife Laramie Thompson; his daughters, Andrea Bryan (J. B.) of St. Charles, MO and Beth Calvert (Patrick Maloney) of St. Peters, MO; his grandsons, Jack Bryan, Alex Bryan, Elliot Calvert and Luke Calvert; his siblings, Lyle Thompson (Mary Homan) of Denver, CO, Lee Thompson (Chan) of Matthews, NC, Becky Wilcox (Jack) of Lincoln, CA and Barbara Gould (Michael) of Manzanita, OR; and his siblings-in-law, Loralie Illa (Kevin), Larry Trumbo, Glen Otte (Laurie), Gary Otte (Bonnie), Tom Otte (Marie), Don Otte (Bev), Andy Otte (Chris) and Dan Otte (Cheryl). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
