He is survived by: his wife Shirley G. Thorpe (Childs) of Jefferson City, Missouri; his son Jay Rolando Thorpe (Cathy Ann) of Bloomington, Illinois; his grandchildren, Latisha Watson of Columbia, Missouri, Jackson and Cade Thorpe of Bloomington, Illinois; his brother Roderick; and his sisters-in-law, Ruby Stewart of Jefferson City, Missouri and Birdie Thorpe of Las Vegas, Nevada. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
