It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Simmons (Jefferson City, Missouri), born in Boonville, Missouri, who passed away on September 29, 2019, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gertrude Irene Simmons (Murdock) and Robert Simmons. He is survived by: his wife Joan Simmons; his children, Jeff Simmons (Tammy) of Jefferson City, Jace Simmons (Kristy) of Prairie Home and Laurie McBee of Columbia; his sister Donna Beach (Danny) of New Franklin; his grandchildren, Dusty Simmons, Mason Simmons, Malone Simmons, Meira Whelchel, Amanda Hargis and Patrick Southerland; and his great grandchildren, Hailey Emanuel, Gracie Hargis, Lillie Hargis, Hunter Southerland and Lexy Southerland.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
