James Christopher Long Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Christopher Long of Jefferson City, Missouri, born in Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on February 20, 2024, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Milton and Gloria Irene Long (Gadwood); and his sister Kathleen Kilgore. He is survived by: his wife Veralyn Long; his nieces and nephews, Mat Kilgore (Dawn), Maggie Chism (Bau), Brandi Kirchner (Jason) and Mat Heinrich (Keri); and his brothers-in-law, David Kilgore of Kearney, MO and Alfred Heinrich. He is also survived by 11 great nieces and nephews.

Memorials are suggested to the Jefferson City Animal Shelter or the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.
