He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Edward and Martha Rebecca Matteson (Kysar); and his brother Edward Matteson. He is survived by: his sons, Kenneth Matteson (Nancy) of Kansas City and James Matteson; his wife Melinda of Jefferson City; his grandchild Rebecca Johnson; his husband Nick of Kearney; and his sisters, Lova Dell Mitchell of Baltimore and Charolette Harmon (Williamsport). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and a large extended family.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to these organizations: Cole County Nutrition Center, Concord Baptist Church, Alzheimer's Association or the Compassus Living Foundation (for hospice and palliative care).
