It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harvey Carl Rackers (Jefferson City, Missouri), who passed away on March 9, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Rackers and Henrietta Rackers (Knorr); his daughters, Diane and Mary; his siblings, Vernon (Alice), Stanley (Betty), Marion, Doris Smith (Charles) and Ruby Rank; and his sons-in-law, James Boessen "Bimbo" and Greg Adrian.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Dee; and his daughters, Carla Boessen, Lynn Williams, Deb Schaumann (Sam), Christy Adrian and Kelley Berendzen (Bruce). He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church (6418 State Highway W, Jefferson City, MO 65101). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that expressions of sympathy be made to St. Stanislaus Cemetery or the Dementia Society of America.

“I am so sorry to hear of the death of Harvey. I didn’t know about it until it was over. I need to check online regularly because unfortunately we don’t get the newspaper any longer and we miss information when there are deaths. . We are so sorry for your loss.
