He was predeceased by: his parents, Fritz Westhues and Eulalia Westhues (Himmelberg); his son Rick Westhues; and his brothers, Fredrick Westhues and David Westhues.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Westhues; his son Dan Westhues (Travis Stephens); his grandchildren, Tanner Westhues (Bryanna), Miles Westhues, Morgan Westhues, Lauren Hughes and Hunter Hughes (Abigail); his sisters, Lois Brucks, Joanne Meyer, Genevieve Ames, Jacquie Clark (Omer) and Teresa Westhues; and his sister-in-law Carolyn Westhues. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
