He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Drewel and Eva Drewel (Lorts); his sisters, Wilma Purviance, Doris Woolley, Dorothy Gibson and Shirley Buemmei; his half-siblings, Bea Hertweck, Johnny Licklider and Rex Drewel; and his grandsons, Ryan Hertweck and Jeremy Jones.

He is survived by: his former spouse Janeice Ridenhour; his son Martin (Marty); his wife Carol Drewel; his sons, Phillip Jones (Donna), Michael Jones (Pat) and Marty Drewel (Debi); his grandchildren, Crista Beckhaus (Kurt), Jared Jones (Ashley), Mindy Phillips (Vernon), Brett Jones (Becky), Whitney Jones, Joel Baker (Alyssa), Cory Baker (Amanda) and Ashley Smith (Ryan); and his brother Don Drewel (Joan). He is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
