Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Dorothy Whittle of Jefferson City, Missouri, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away at the age of 82, on July 3, 2021. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lemuel Basnett and Bertha Basnett (Shanks); her husband Markel; her siblings, Juanita Basnett, Betty Dunavant (Kenny), Lillie Roark (Dick) and Lemuel Basnett; and her son-in-law Terry Smith.

She is survived by: her children, Debbie Smith of Jefferson City, Eddie Whittle of Jefferson City, Mark Whittle (Joyce) of Jefferson City and Curt Whittle (Linda) of Jefferson City; her brothers, William "Bill" Basnett of Jefferson City, Paul Basnett (Phyllis) of Lebanon and Larry Basnett (Joyce) of Jefferson City; her grandchildren, Denny Whittle, Dawn Amatey (Francis), Tommy Lowe (Crystal), Dallas Whittle, Kelsie Whittle, Megan Herrbach (Erin) and Robbie Crader; her great grandchildren, Allyson Whittle (Steven Forrest), Audra Whittle, Erin Whittle, Xavier Vaughan, Jada Amatey, Aidan Lowe, Taylor Lowe, Dominic Amatey, Jeffrey Amatey, Oliver Herrbach and Walter Herrbach; and her great great grandchild Maveryk Forrest. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
