It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dora J. Newby of Jefferson City, Missouri, who passed away on September 10, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Goff and Carrie Goff (Hastings); her granddaughter Courtnie Higgs; her great grandchild Ezra Workman; her siblings, Becky Bunting, Betty Jackson, Edna Goff, Nellie Goff, Albert Goff, Jr., Rosy Goff, Maudie Seeger, Kenneth Goff and Don Goff; and her siblings-in-law, Connie Bertram, Craig Newby, Robert Newby and Jim Bertram.
She is survived by: her husband Richard L. Newby; her children, Cynthia Workman (Kevin) of Lincoln, Neb., Richard A. Newby (Crystal) of Sedan and Becky Haight (Randy) of Jefferson City; her grandchildren, Kevin Workman (Megan), Joshua Workman (Shelby), Jennifer Chuhralya (Jeremy), Caleb Workman (Kayleigh), Ariel Workman, Shane Workman, Jerrid Higgs, Abigail Newby, Sophie Haight and Belle Haight; her siblings, Dotty Schrimp (Frank) of Hutchinson, Kan., Beverly Goff of Hutchinson, Kan., Barbara Goff of Hutchinson, Kan. and Norman Goff of Hutchinson, Kan.; and her siblings-in-law, Don Cogzill (Patty), Bruce Newby (Barbara), Larry Newby (Mary), Shari Clark (Warren) and Shirley Newby. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
