He was predeceased by: his parents, Alonzo Kennon and Mary Edith Meador (Kennon); his siblings, Mildred Jones and Bob Kennon; his grandson Ryan Hertweck; and his grandson-in-law Jon Orris.

He is survived by: his wife Martha R. Kennon; his daughters, Diana Jones of Jefferson City, Christine Wiley (Glen) of Gardner and Tina Adrian (Joe) of Sunrise Beach; his siblings, Patsy Becker, Phyllis Perret (Wayne), Hank Meador (Carol), Phillip Meador (Becky) and Glenn Meador (Debbe); and his grandchildren, Heather Orris, Wesley Wiley (Karen), Melissa Schuetz (Adam), Monica Wehner (Kyle), Martha Stewart (Josh), Joe Adrian (Nickie) and Jared Jones (Ashley). He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Concord Baptist Church.
