He was predeceased by: his parents, John Welch and Catherine Welch (Martin); his son Larry Don Welch; his stepson Mark Lecuru; his grandson Jason Welch; and his brothers, Harold, John and Robert.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Welch of Jefferson City; his children, Brian Welch (Cathy) of Jefferson City, Carol Dudenhoeffer (Kurt) of Jefferson City and Jim Welch (Mary) of Springfield; his stepsons, Bruce Lecuru (Shosh) of Coral Gables and Paul Lecuru (Tonya) of Shawnee, Kansas.; his grandchildren, Jessica Welch, Katie Eichner (Michael), Kelly Wisch (Ryan), Kristen Landrey (Jeremy), Kimie Grimm (Aaron), Kara Wood (Noah), Jake Welch, Lauren McAlexander, Megan Lecuru, Andrew Lecuru, Nick Lecuru and Jacob Lecuru; and his daughters-in-law, Dianna Welch and Melody Lecuru. He is also survived by three step-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the Cathedral of St. Joseph.
