He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo William Hirsch and Angeline Marie Kline Hirsch; and his daughter Carole Ann Hirsch. He is survived by: his wife Helen B. Oligschlaeger; his sons, Paul D. of Jefferson City, Larry B. of Jefferson City and Gerald L. (Angela) of Jefferson City; and his grandchildren, Holden, Connor, Stephen and Anna.

In lieu of flowers, gifts of remembrance may be made to the Immaculate Conception Endowment Fund or charity of the donor's choice.

“Helen, I want to send you my most sincere condolences for the loss of your lifelong spouse, Don. I clearly recall the day you were married in 1961. It was a beautiful, special day as your Mom had everyone at her house after the ceremony. I remember several of the men playing cards in the backyard that afternoon. Again, I am so sorry for your loss. John Heckemeyer”
