He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Sue Vinyard (Short) and W. D. Vinyard. He is survived by: his sisters, Ranada Vinyard, Holly Kilday (Paul), Musselburgh and Scotland; his nephew Colin Kilday; his niece Annaliese Kilday; and his cousin William "Bill" Short (Shelley).
