He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Brown and Jewell Brown (Staley); his daughters, Susan Hill and Shelly Hartzler; and his brothers, Joe Brandt and John Brandt.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine; his son Gary Brown; his grandchildren, Nathan Iven (Holly), Chad Hill, Devin Hartzler (Beth), Zachary Brown, Shelby Hartzler, Megan Brown, Mikayla Brown, Billy Lewis and Jessica Lewis; and his sister Linda Armstrong (George). He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
