He was predeceased by: his parents, James J. and Mary F. Swillum Walsh. He is survived by: his spouses, Dora L. Melton and Virginia L. Walsh; his children, Daniel E. Walsh, Jr., Carla Kniper of Syracuse, Mary G. Ridenhour, Clinton Mike Weider of Jefferson City and David G. Walsh (Angie) of Holts Summit; and his stepsons, Joe O'Neal of Raymore and Rich O'Neal (Vera) of Westerville. He is also survived by five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Central Missouri Honor Flight, or the Capital Region Medical Center Foundation.
