He was predeceased by: his parents, James Eugene II and Bertha Mae Johnson (Dearixon); and his siblings, Ralph A. Johnson (Dorothy), James E. Johnson III (Karleen) and Helen Erhart (Joe).
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Hill (Cheryl); his children, David Johnson (Amy), Sheila Reed (Phil) and Pamela Wray; his siblings, Lonnie Johnson, Joyce Dyke (John), Evelyn Loethen (Gene) and Wanda Colvin (Jerry); his siblings-in-law, Dorothy Johnson (Ralph) and Joe Erhart (Helen); and his grandchildren, Justin Johnson, Haley Reed, Sheldon Johnson and Alex Johnson. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Houser-Millard Funeral Directors (2613 W Main St, Jefferson City, MO 65109). A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Children's Hospital.
