He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Levi and Nelle Jamison Foster (Higgins); his wife Virginia; and his son James Foster. He is survived by: his son Gene D. Foster (Teresa) of Jefferson City; his daughter-in-law Karla Foster of Jefferson City; his siblings, Robert Foster (Irma) of Maryland Heights, Paul Foster of Independence, Dorothy Pulliam of Corpus Christi, TX, Betty Honey of St. Charles and Maxine Wood of Versailles; his grandchildren, Stephanie Duke, Mandee Carney, Tyler Foster, Wade Foster, Kristen Foster and Jenna Foster; and his great grandchildren, Landon Carney, Garrett Carney, Aubrey Foster, Hayden Carney, Carson Foster and Davis Duke. He is also survived by his sons, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.
