With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Colter (Jefferson City, Missouri), who passed away on January 28, 2020 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Colter and Mary Colter (Green); his parents-in-law, Nina and Floyd Johnson; his sons-in-law, Roger Rackers and Lloyd Barnhill; and his siblings, Ernestine Robinett, Mary Lee Gilpin, Betty Lou Colter, Helen "Connie" Burkholder and Larry "Bunky" Colter.

He is survived by: his wife Ann Johnson; his daughters, Joy Fitzpatrick (Rod) of Lake, Janice "Lea" Barnhill (Bobby Patterson) of Sandown, Lori Rackers (Donnie Kruse) of Union and Cheryl Kinkade (John) of Lohman; and his siblings, Earl Colter of Holts Summit, Donald Colter (Linda) of Jefferson City and Jeannette Coulter (Jerry) of Jacksonville. He is also survived by grandsons; four great-granddaughters; one great-grandson and many other family and friends.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
