He was predeceased by: his grandfather Carl B. Franklin; and also, Paternal Uncle and Roger Lee Shoemate. He is survived by: his children, Samuel Douglas Shoemate and McKenzie Dawn Shoemate; his stepsiblings, Dalton Shoemate, Freedom Shoemate and Justice Shoemate; his stepchildren, Miley Engle, Riley Engle and Austin Engle; his stepgrandmother Tamera Miller of Eldon, MO.; and his grandparents, Ersa Maureen Franklin of Eldon, Donna Roark and Ronnie Roark of Warsaw, MO..
