He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Everett and Dessie Jane Miller (Phillips); his daughter-in-law Ginny Miller; his grandson Gregory W. Roberds, Jr.; his sister Norma Jean; and his brother-in-law Dorsey Howard.

He is survived by: his former wife Barbara Camden; his wife Virginia; his sons, Ben Miller and Rick Miller; and also Monte Shinkle. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
