She was predeceased by: her parents, John Thomas Newman and Corena Pritchett Newman; and her husband John W. Carmichael (Bill). She is survived by: her children, J. W. Carmichael Jr. (Linda), G. R. Carmichael (Pam), Topeka of Kansas and Beverly Heidbreder (Lee). She is also survived by six grandchildren and three great-granddaughters.
