She was predeceased by: her parent Emelia Schmidt (Elflein); her parents-in-law, Earl and Lillie Southern; her sister Marjorie; and her brothers-in-law, Ralph Spoede and E. Richard Southern.
She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Michael Spoede Warrenton (Sharon), Eric Spoede (Marilyn) of Hermann, Katheryn Wolfe (Timothy) of Isanti and Karen Casserly (Paul) of Defiance; and her stepchildren, David Southern (Sherry) of Sanibel Island, Fla., Julie Cooper Ogden (Gary) and Kimberlee McAlister (Kelly) of Macon. She is also survived by five step grandchildren; and 10 step great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Freeman Chapel (915 Madison St, Jefferson City, MO 65101). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Resurrection Catholic Cemetery (3015 W Truman Blvd, Jefferson City, MO 65109).
