He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernst Schlender and Marta Schlender (Kropp); and his brother Ron Kropp (Jean). He is survived by: his wife Doris Schlender; his children, Dustin Schlender (Ashley) of Jefferson City, Michelle Cummings of Jefferson City and Kelly Schenewerk (Stephanie) of Jefferson City; his siblings, Abe Kropp (Sherry) of Sedalia, David Schlender (JoAnn) of Sedalia, Robert Schlender (Jennifer) of Sedalia and Ellen Young (Danny) of Sedalia; his brother-in-law Bill Brunner (Joan) of New Franklin; his grandchildren, Clinton Bond (Emma), Zachary Bond, Chloe Schenewerk, Ryann Schenewerk, Bode Schenewerk, Hadley Schlender and Hank Schlender; and his great grandchild Remy Bond. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
