It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anna Mae Schmitz of Jefferson City, Missouri, born in Osage Bend, Missouri, who passed away on March 21, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugo Joseph and Clara Mary Schmutzler (Veit); her siblings, George Schmutzler, Albert Schmutzler, Leonard Schmutzler, Rosemary Wolf and Betty Lou Rustemeyer; and her granddaughter Chrissy Ewing.
She is survived by: her sons, Kevin Schmitz (Janice), Randall Schmitz (Tracey), Dennis Schmitz (Kathleen) and Steven Schmitz (Chrystal); her sister-in-law Irene Schmutzler; and her grandchildren, Jacob Schmitz, Jackson Schmitz, Emily Schmitz, Jennifer Brader (Jonathan), Nicole Stattman (Scott), Bradley Schmitz, Stacy Beck (Kenny), Amber Ewing (Jamey), Trista Ewing (Marc), Matthew Schmitz and Evan Schmitz. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
