He is survived by: his wife Sharon Burgess; his children, Melissa Johnson (Jeff), Chris Dalton (Charli), Christian Burkhalter, Jennifer Burkhalter and Sonja Burkhalter; his sister Ginnie Moore (Bob); his niece Deb Adams; his grandchildren, Mica Dalton (Heath Berry), Crystal Dalton and Christian Dalton; his great grandchild Claire Green; and his pets, Barack Burkhalter, Hillary Burkhalter and Honey Burkhalter.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Joplin Humane Society.
