It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arthur F. Benz Jr. (Japan, Missouri), born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on December 27, 2019, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur F. Benz, Sr. and Clara H. Goethe; his former wives, Helen and Rosemary; his siblings, Ed Benz, Glennon Benz and Dorothy Wagner; his stepson Jim Strothkamp; and his stepgrandson Brandon Fisher.
He is survived by: his friend Rosemary StrothKamp; his husband James; his children, James Benz (Sue) of Shawnee, KS and Jean Benz of O'Fallon, MO; his stepchildren, Ann Fisher (Keith) of Rosebud, MO, Mike Strothkamp (Debbie) of Japan, MO, Wayne Strothkamp of Sullivan, MO, Dale Strothkamp (Kelly) of Japan, MO and Bobby Strothkamp (Tracy) of Owensville, MO; his grandchildren, David Gibbar of St. Charles, MO, Terri Steiniger of Carlisle, AR and Douglas Dean (Jenni) of Shawnee, KS; and his sisters, Mary Wagner of Winghaven, MO and Jane Eise (Denny) of Maryland Heights, MO.. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
