He is survived by: his wife Jane Kirkland; his son Donald (Sandra) of Derry; his grandson Alex; and his siblings, Robert of Mattapoisett, MA, Jon of Rye, NH, Jeanne of Foster, RI and Elizabeth (Ray) of Epping, NH. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Massachusetts General Hospital, at Mass General Development Office, 125 Nashua Street, Suite 540, Boston, MA 02114-1101.
