He was predeceased by: his wife Phyllis McDonald (Medlock); and his parents, Oscar McDonald and Shirley McDonald (Schafer). He is survived by: his sons, Leon McDonald (Jean Ann) of Salem, MO, Tony McDonald (Dee) of Pacific, MO and Tracey McDonald of Valley Park, MO; his sister-in-law Pat Jacobs of Sugarland, TX; his grandchildren, Ryan McDonald (Spring), Casey McDonald and Katie Strothkamp (Matt); and his great grandchildren, Paisley, Josie and Parker. He is also survived by extended family and dear friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wilson Mortuary - Salem (1000 Scenic Rivers Blvd, Salem, MO 65560). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
