He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Joe and Effie Vinson Sparks; his wife Brenda C. Crader; his daughter-in-law Shelley Sparks; and his siblings, Robert Lee Howard, Elwood Sparks, Hoit Sparks, Denford Sparks, Clayton Sparks, Louise King, Bertha Sparks and Pauline Jerome.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin Sparks (Amber) of Jackson, Garrett Sparks (Amy) of Jackson and Amber Weaver (Jason) of St. Louis; his grandchildren, BreeAnna (Adam), Bryce, Braydon, Noah, Grant, Elise, Alana, Toby, Gavin, Caydence and Teegan; and his brother-in-law R. David Crader (Gail). He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins and in-laws.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Missouri Veterans Home.
